App Terms of Service

The service

These terms cover the Run With Me Seoul mobile app for iOS and Android: a running app built for Seoul with a running-conditions score, curated routes, GPS run recording, a race calendar and route leaderboards. The app is operated by Run With Me Seoul, a sole proprietorship run by Quintin Willekens in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Guided running tours booked through runwithmeseoul.com are a separate service under the website terms. By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and the app privacy policy.

Accounts

• Core features work without an account. An account is needed for sync, leaderboards and saved content across devices.
• You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
• Keep your login credentials to yourself and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app under Me → Settings → Delete account, or from the account deletion page.

Free and paid features

• The core of the app is free: the weather score, run recording and a set of flagship routes.
• Optional paid subscriptions unlock extras such as the full route catalog and advanced features. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google through your store account, renew automatically, and can be cancelled any time in your store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
• Refunds for subscription purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their store policies. The website refund policy applies to guided runs, not app purchases.
• Paid features may change over time; if a paid feature you rely on is removed during a period you already paid for, contact me and I will sort it out fairly.

Your content and leaderboards

• Runs, routes you draw, ratings and your display name stay yours.
• By joining a leaderboard or sharing a route or rating, you give Run With Me Seoul a non-exclusive licence to display that content in the app to make the feature work. Delete the content or your account and the licence ends, except for anonymous aggregate statistics.
• Leaderboards show your display name, time and pace to other users of that route. Do not join a leaderboard if you do not want that shown.
• I may remove content or leaderboard entries that break these terms, look fraudulent, or are flagged through reports.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• cheat leaderboards (vehicles, GPS spoofing, edited recordings);
• harass or impersonate other users, or post offensive display names or content;
• scrape, reverse engineer, resell or overload the app or its services;
• use the app to break any law.

You can report content or block users in the app. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours where possible.

Run at your own risk

Running outdoors carries real risks: traffic, terrain, weather, heat, cold, air quality and your own physical condition. The app gives information to help you decide, but you make the decision. The weather score, route suggestions and audio cues are not medical, safety or coaching advice.

• Check your surroundings, obey traffic signals and local rules, and stay aware while using headphones.
• Consult a doctor before starting a training program if you have a medical condition.
• Routes may change in real life: construction, closures, flooding along the Han River and other hazards can appear at any time.

GPS and data accuracy

GPS, barometric elevation, pace, splits and the weather score are estimates produced by your device's sensors and third-party data. They can be wrong, especially in tunnels, under bridges and between tall buildings. The app is provided as is, and no promise is made that recorded data is complete or accurate.

Ownership

The app, its design, curated routes, race database, weather score and branding belong to Run With Me Seoul or its licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices. Map data comes from third-party providers under their own licences.

Availability and changes

I aim to keep the app running well, but features may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn, and online features depend on servers, app-store rules and third-party services. Features described as beta or preview may change or disappear without notice.

Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. I may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, cheat leaderboards or abuse other users, with notice where reasonable. Sections that by their nature survive (content licences for aggregate data, liability, governing law) survive termination.

Liability

To the extent Korean law allows: the app is provided as is; I am not liable for indirect damages, lost data caused by your device, injuries or losses arising from your decision to run, or failures of third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Korean law, including liability for intent or gross negligence. Your statutory rights as a consumer under Korean law are not affected.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act, with the Seoul Central District Court as the agreed venue where the law allows. The Korean version of these terms is the authoritative text; this English version is a translation for convenience. If the two conflict, the Korean version controls.
