The headline
Times below refer to your scheduled session start time, in Seoul time (KST, UTC+9).
Payment happens on the day of the run, not at the time of booking, so there is normally nothing to refund. Cancelling simply means you do not pay.
- Cancel at any point before the run: you owe nothing.
- Reschedule before the run: free, subject to date availability.
- I cancel for any reason (weather, safety, my fault): you owe nothing, and you can take a free reschedule instead.
- You paid in advance, then cancelled before the run: a full refund, however close to the day.
Please give me 24 hours where you can. It is a courtesy, not a charge: the further out you tell me, the easier the morning is to give to somebody else.
Cancellations
Your plans change, so just let me know as soon as you can. I do not charge a cancellation fee and I do not hold a deposit, so there is nothing to unwind.
- Any time before the run starts: no charge, no fee. Anything you paid in advance comes back in full.
- After the session starts: the session is chargeable, except where I call the run off mid-session for safety or business-side reasons.
Rescheduling
Moving your run to another date is the friendliest option for both of us, and it is free.
- Any time before the run starts: free reschedule, subject to availability on the new date.
- Same morning: still free. Message me and I will tell you honestly what is open.
Reschedules need to be requested ahead of the original start time, not after the run was meant to begin.
Weather, air quality and safety
Light rain is usually fine and Seoul runners just go. If heavy rain, thunder, unsafe heat, dangerous air quality (typically PM2.5 above the Korean "bad" threshold or an active Asian dust event), route closures or another safety issue makes the run unreasonable, I will contact you. You can pick a free reschedule or a cancellation. You owe nothing, and where you have already paid, a full refund. No 24-hour cutoff applies in this case.
I may also adjust the route, distance, start time or format to keep the session safe and still fun. That is not a cancellation and the booking stands.
Late arrivals and no-shows
Please arrive on time. Where you are more than 15 minutes late without messaging me, I may treat it as a no-show and leave. Because you pay on the day, a no-show does not cost you money; it costs me the morning, since I have already travelled out and held the slot. Where no-shows repeat, I may decline a future booking.
If you are running behind, message me at the contact email or phone number on your booking confirmation. I will wait where I can.
How to cancel or reschedule
Email me directly using the address on your booking confirmation, or via thecontact form. Include your booking date, time, and what you'd like to do (cancel, reschedule, or check whether weather warrants either). I will reply the same day where possible.
Refund timing
Payment is taken on the day of the run, so most cancellations never involve a refund at all. You simply do not pay.
Where you have paid in advance by bank transfer and then cancelled, or where I cancelled after you paid, the refund is for the full amount. Approved refunds are initiated as quickly as practical. Where Korean e-commerce rules apply, the target is to initiate the refund within 3 business days after it is approved or the cancellation is confirmed. Your bank or card provider may take additional time to post the funds back to you, and refunds go back to the original payment method.
